Nephi Builds A Ship

So, I have recently began reading the Book of Mormon again...a few days ago I read 1 Nephi 17:17. This instantly took me back to one Sunday evening in 314...a few of us were a little bored, and since it was Sunday we decided to make our own Book of Mormon videos! (Imagine that...) Ro dressed up as Nephi and Amy Jane and I dressed up as Laman and Lemuel. While Ro/Nephi was "building" a ship "Laman" and "Lemuel" walked up and started mocking her/him.
Amy Jane (In a deep voice): "Our brother is a fool, for he thinketh that he can build a ship"
Kim (Also in a deep voice): "Yea, and he also thinketh that he can cross these great waters."
(We laugh)
Ro (I think this is the line she quoted): "If God had commanded me to do all things I could do them. If he should command me that I should say unto this water, be thou earth, it should be earth; and if I should say it, it would be done"

I can't remember if she shocked us or not...ha ha ha. Then we commenced to act out Helaman and his stripling warriors....and eventually Amy Jane acted out either Moses or Lehi??? I can't quite remember. Oh, and at some point Ro played Nephi and his bow. My favorite part was when we had to make it seem like there were many soldiers in Helaman's army...so we set the video camera down on the floor and the few a us that were there ran around and around in circles past the camera to look like many pairs of feet! Ha ha ha! I loved it! Anyway....just remembering!

wow!! did i ever miss out on that! I do remember seeing pictures of you all dressed like boys. At least you were scripturally accurate. I am sure this little activity made it on the"Do Not DO" list at the Royal crest Apartments. Not because it was bad. Just because you guys did it. I seem to recall that half that list is made up of our own creative ideas of fun.
good memory, kid.

What I remember from this spiritual moment was Ro's very short Nephi skirt. And then some random boys who we didn't know came to our apartment and were totally wierded out. Ha, good times.
