I was working at the Lion House one night....up front where I re-stock the silverware and trays. We were getting short on spoons. As I waited for more to be cleaned my mind began to wander. Thinking of the shortage of spoons I suddenly recalled a funny event of the first summer at Royal Crest. One night a few of us dressed up in either gangster-type clothing (meaning a bandana around our heads...) or in dark clothing with dark paint under our eyes. (I am either remembering one night with Ro, Christine and me hiding around campus or possibly another night in which Heather was also involved also....I can't remember. If anyone remembers more particulars....please let me know! I think it was the latter)
We went, disguised, to our friend's apartment at Rockland (Landon and Eric) and stole their coveted and favored action figure. Our escape was smooth and swift. Upon our arrival at our own apartment we promptly hung the action figure from the ceiling and took ransom pictures which I can't remember if we actually sent to them with a note stating we wanted chocolate chip cookies as payment or not.
Time went on...I don't know how much. One eventful Sunday we arrived home from church to see, written upon the white board, "Enjoy your soup, girls!" I have to admit we were baffled as to the meaning of such a sentence until we looked in our kitchen drawer to discover ALL the silverware gone! For a few minutes it would have seemed that their revenge was a success. Then, unfortunately the ending of this climax gets foggy :) Either they had forgotten about the dirty silverware in the dishwasher or we had extra silverware that we didn't use in our boxes. Either way I remember their revenge being a wonderful attempt yet a failure! Ha ha ha! I believe the story comes to a close when they come barging into our apartment ready to free their action figure. Eric was tied up and thrown in the closet with the couch in front of it. He eventually escaped and we ended up with a broken door! :) We didn't receive any chocolate chip cookies.
*Any clarifying of this memory would be greatly appreciated!
