First impressions by Amanda

Little history of the semester before:
- 3 out of 5 roomies read my journal and scolded me for what I wrote.
- Didn’t know a single person to trust in the city of Rexburg so I stayed in the library pretty much every hour I wasn’t in class.
- The other hours I learned to do stats in basketball and did every single game every time they played till almost midnight sometimes just to avoid my roomies.
- Wondered if I would ever fit it.
To the best of my recollection, my first(ish) impressions:
D- knew the previous semester. I visit taught her. Genuine and honest.
Amy Jane- I will forever have the first time I saw Amy burned in my memory. She and D were wearing matching clothes (accidentally I think) and she was listening to D’s friends do music stuff. She was friendly and had a beautiful smile. There was some comfort in having a few familiar faces.
Kim- I was pretty sure she was royalty from another country…or a model.
Either way the first time I met her I wondered if I should bow or something. Nice.
Christine- Very confident. At the time, that was completely intimidating. I also kind of pegged her as the hippy type. You know, natural, and such.
Heather- She was my sister in room-hood that first semester together. She would wake up (very) early and turn herself into a master piece. Her clothes were color coordinated. Boys really liked her. Obviously we had nothing in common. She was kind, and for having a bum as a room-roomie, very accommodating.
Ro- It was like a month before I would even speak to this cool neighbor for fear of breaking the code of the school yard (ya know, don’t talk to people cooler than you). You all loved her and had a mattress sleepover before I even met her. I admit that I was afraid that it would be like the previous semester, so I kept my distance. Ro was a partier but friendly.

Who knew you all would change my life? Who knew I could feel so safe with a group of girls? I had no idea that I would need you all for the rest of my life.

And I can't figure out how to make a note myself. I only figured out how to comment. I think that is what I am doing.
